What We Do
Mission
The Council on African Relations, CAR, is a United States-based nonprofit and
non partisan organization dedicated to foster a better understanding between
the United States and Africa. Founded in 2019, CAR is an independent organization
that takes no institutional position on policy and political matters in both the
United States and in Africa.
Goals
What We Do
Mission
CAR works to attain the following goals:
- developing and advocating for legislation, regulations and government programs to improve the relationship between the US and Africa
- Promoting and stimulating the economy and the cultures of both the US and Africa
- Conducting research and publicizing the positions of elected officials concerning these issues
- Conducting, coordinating and promoting educational activities and programs aimed at building a genuine democratic and egalitarian society in Africa
- Supporting et promoting in Africa the ideals of Democracy, Freedom and the Rule of Law for which the United States stand.
